The Great Entertainment Company was established in July 2003 by Raymond & Cathryn Gaspar. The Company’s main objective is to offer world class entertainment to the region and bring expertise in event and festival management. The company specializes in Cultural and Theatrical productions as well as Kids and Family Entertainment.
Raymond Gaspar entered the world of entertainment through his Lebanese Radio Network “Radio One”, organizing many events in Lebanon. In 2000, he was invited to Qatar to help organize a series of festivals and since 2003 the Great Entertainment Company has played an important role in supplying major artists and events and managing festivals including the Doha Eid Festivals, Doha Adha Festivals, the Doha Cultural Festivals (check History).
In 2005, the Great Entertainment Company was commissioned to put together a new idea for Qatar Summer Wonders, a 30 day festival in July. From concept to execution, “Around the World in 30 Days” proved to be a huge success among the Qatari’s and was the biggest festival that Doha has seen to date.
The Great Entertainment Company has also organized the Beirut International Jazz Festival in July 2004 and the Doha International Jazz Festival in July 2005 (as part of the Qatar Summer Wonders).
In December 2005, the Great Entertainment Company began its productions in Dubai where it staged The Nutcracker Ballet, with sold out performances. Following that success, more Ballet productions were scheduled, and in February 2006 Romeo & Juliet came to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with another sell out. In May 2006, Swan Lake was the first Ballet performed in the UAE accompanied by a Symphony Orchestra. The event was hailed “Swansational!” (check Previous Events)
The Great Entertainment Company has now established a UAE based company “The Great Entertainment FZ LLC” and put together a yearly calendar of events.
