Queen - It's a kinda magic!

The Story
An extraordinary phenomenon has been taking place lately and you could be forgiven for feeling a sense of déjà vu, especially if you’re a fan of the late Freddie Mercury and Queen. The stage performance and presence of Freddie Mercury and all the other cast members in the hit smash Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic is so close to the real thing that even Freddie’s trusted personal assistant and confidante Peter Freestone has given it the thumbs up.

“I’ve seen plenty of Queen cover bands over the years and some are terrific, but this performance truly took me back to another time,” said Freestone after seeing the show for the first time in Singapore last year. “I can’t imagine anyone coming close to what Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic does to bring Freddie back to the stage, larger than life”.

If you haven’t seen this tribute based on the sellout 1986 Queen World Tour then you haven’t completed your “Queenology”. Bringing back to the rock stage all the electric energy, vibrant costumes and homemade sound that is Freddie Mercury and Queen live, in a manner that will transport even the hardest critic back to a time when Queen ruled the rock circuit.

Having played to sellout audiences around the world this moveable feast of true rock showmanship reminds us of a time when live performance meant bands with instruments and a lead singer that rocked you over and over. With legions of Queen fans young and old worldwide hailing Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic as the “resurrection of the greatest band ever”, this show matches its original 1986 “birth tour”.

This theatrical presentation is as close as you’ll ever get to the real thing. The magic and pulse that Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic delivers to its audiences has created a new buzz and even turned new fans on to the original band who weren’t around for the 1986 Queen World Tour.

“Queen has left a legacy that we will always remain devoted to and I can’t believe we can still see it live on stage,” exclaimed one overwhelmed fan leaving the Sydney Australia show.

Don’t miss this extraordinary rebirth of the greatest rock band ever as it sets out once again to conquer the world’s stages. Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic will rock you.

The Company
Queen – Its A Kinda Magic stars Craig Pesco as Freddie Mercury, Travis Hair as Brian May, Brett Millican as Roger Taylor and Sean Nolan as John Deacon.

Craig Pesco first stepped out on stage as Freddie Mercury after winning the job over 80 other hopefuls, who came to the audition for the chance to play Queen's charismatic front man.

It turned out to be a role he was born to play. Since Pesco and guitarist, Colin Hill, formed Queen - It's a Kinda Magic in England in 1997, the group has received critical acclaim everywhere.

"Craig captures the thing that made Freddie special, which is his presence on stage and the way he connects with the audience and the resemblance between the two performers is uncanny". – Peter Freestone

The Music

Staged with 21st century sound and lighting, it creates the best of the 70’s/80’s rock era in a way that will transport you in time.

"Queen - It's A Kinda Magic" features over 20 original Queen hits - We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, Fat Bottom Girls, We Are the Champions and many more

The Press
“They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and if the legendary Freddie Mercury was with us today, we’re sure he’d agree that the outstanding Queen – It’s A Kinda Magic Tribute at Madinat Arena last Thursday, was a worthy homage.”

- Ahlan, June 2006

“But don’t think for another moment this is just another cover band. This theatrical presentation is as close as you’ll ever get to the real thing”.

- All Woman, June 2006
