Simply Ballroom - The Sensational Ballroom Dance Spectacular

Simple Ballroom is a lavish production where the colour and spectacle of ballroom dance fuses brilliantly with live theatre.

The production features a cast of world-class dance champions. Their performances in the Waltz are exhilarating: their passion in the Tango breathtaking and their Paso Doble - just one of the many highlights of the show - has astounded audiences in every venue.

The Company
The Simply Ballroom concept was created by Mr. Jon Conway, in response to the growing public interest in ballroom dancing following the TV success of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in Britain, and the fact that there have been very few stage presentations of the art.

The best ballroom champions were auditioned all over Britain and the director, Alan Harding, took charge of developing a touring group of brilliant and dedicated professional dancers.

Choreographed by TV’s Come Dancing Stars, Erin Boag and Anton Du Beke, this electrifying production showcases the exceptional talents of the cast through the Waltz, Cha Cha, Salsa, Rumba, Quickstep and many more!

The Music
Different styles of music are used to put the stage presentation. Simon Coles is the musical director for Simply Ballroom, and presents music in various playing styles in order to take the audience on an exhilaration journey of the diverse dance styles, from the elegant waltz to the sensuous salsa and the vivacity of the Quickstep.

The colourful, classy costumes of Jane Dixon are shown off by a young and vibrant cast of truly excellent world class dancers.
